Former senior media aide in the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki, Mr. Benjamin Atu, has officially launched two-campaign groups for Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi, with the mission to enlighten Nigerians on the need for a cosmopolitan President, who has equal interest and passion for every region across the country, irrespective of religion and tongue.
Speaking at the formal inauguration of the two groups in Abuja at the weekend, Comrade Atu, who is the Coordinator of the groups said: “We are here today to officially launch these two groups: ‘The Rotimi Ameachi “CORE GROUP” and the “AMEACHI CRUSADERS”, with the theme: “ALL for the Common Cause”.
“The common cause for all Nigeria as at today, is Rotimi Ameachi For President. We are promising Nigerians that a new Political and economic framework that will eventually move this nation to First World status, is brewing in the womb of time and will soon be birthed.
“Nigeria cannot continue to remain a peripheral nation in global affairs, hence Rotimi Ameachi remains the unspoken consensus of the Nigerian Youths. We are determined to make the new dispensation strong and free to overcome all its challenges,” he declared.
Atu who was also the Senior Special Assistant on media and publicity to Comrade Philip Shaibu, Deputy Governor of Edo State added that, “This is the time for a new generation of leadership. We need new men to cope with new challenges and new opportunities. Nigeria needs a transition from the cabinet of elder statesmen to a young President like Rotimi Ameachi who is not bound by the tradition of the past; men who are not blinded by their old fears and hates.
“Rotimi Ameachi is the ideal President Nigeria needs, combining character traits and experiences that would be difficult to find in any other single aspirant in the race. It is our individual and collective tasks, to get this nation to a new path. All we need for this group to succeed is team spirit and high passion on a common cause.
“I am launching these groups and urging every one here today as an Ameachi’s disciple and Crusader, to go into the World and preach his gospel; that is our goal and that is our message”, Atu said.
Highlight of the inauguration was the distribution of Rotimi Ameachi’s branded designer T-Shirts and Caps, as well as the unveiling of regional coordinators with a mandate to immediately launch States and local Government Chapters within their region.
