Dubai, United Arab Emirates: UAE-based facilities management leader Farnek Services has announced the promotion of Julian Khalil to Managing Director. Khalil, who has been with the company for over 13 years, will now oversee its operations, corporate strategy, and financial performance, reporting directly to Group CEO Markus Oberlin.
In his new role, Khalil will drive strategic business development, implement sustainability initiatives, and champion innovative technologies, ensuring Farnek retains its position as a market leader in smart and green FM solutions.
Reflecting on Khalil’s promotion, Oberlin remarked, “Julian’s journey within Farnek is a testament to his dedication and exceptional leadership qualities. Khalil’s career with Farnek began in 2011 as Deputy Manager of the cleaning division. His progression through roles such as Division Manager, Director of Soft Services, and Senior Director of Security and Soft Services demonstrates his capacity for leadership and his ability to adapt to evolving challenges within the FM sector. Last year, Khalil was promoted to Vice President of Operations before ascending to his current role.

A graduate of the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, with a bachelor’s degree in international business and economics, Khalil is well-equipped to steer Farnek’s future growth and sustainability initiatives.
