Former President Muhammadu Buhari Mourns Soldiers Killed In Ambush And Helicopter Crash

Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed deep sorrow in the wake of the fatal ambush that claimed the lives of soldiers and led to a helicopter crash in Niger State.

The incident, which occurred earlier this week, involved a group of bandits attacking troops of the Nigerian Army, resulting in casualties, as well as a subsequent helicopter crash near Shiroro in the State.

In an official statement released on Saturday by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari conveyed his heartfelt condolences to those affected by the tragic events. He extended his prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident.

Former President Buhari also offered his sympathy to President Bola Tinubu, the Armed Forces of the Federation, and the families of the deceased soldiers.

In his message, he said, “I am saddened by the helicopter accident following the tragic ambush in which we have lost our brave army personnel. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. I hope those injured recover at the earliest.”

Buhari emphasized the unwavering discipline of Nigerian soldiers and expressed confidence that they will ultimately overcome the challenges they face.
