GIZ join forces with EdoJobs, NPower to upskill Edo youths

The German Development Cooperation (GIZ) on Wednesday in Benin City said that it is partnering with the Edo-NPower and EdoJobs to train Edo youths on skill acquisition and job placement.

The tripartite arrangement, according to the Edo State NPower coordinator, Ms Yuwa Osayuwame is part of the governor Godwin Obaseki led administration to address the lingering unemployment among the youths and foster their employability.


She explained that, unemployed in the State and exited NPower volunteers would be trained in various vocation and supported with toolkits such as: Photography, Cosmetology, Phone repair, Agribusiness, Paint-making via the EdoJobs centre.

She said that Exited NPower volunteers who have businesses of their own would be supported with MSME loan and grant adding that interested participants should visit the EdoJobs centre to get more information.

“This initiative is an integrated approach to boost growth of small and medium-sized businesses so that they can expand and further employ more youths.” She furthered.
