The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Monday commissioned the newly completed Director General’s offices at the headquarters of the Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA) in Karu.
The event also featured the commissioning of waste bins and a waste collection truck, alongside the symbolic presentation of motorcycles and sewing machines to outstanding staff members, as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery and staff welfare.
The commissioning ceremony coincided with the first anniversary of Hon. Mohammed Bello Isa as Director General of NASWAMSA, marking a year of reforms and renewed commitment to effective waste management across the state.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Sule reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to promote a cleaner, healthier environment through improved infrastructure, capacity building, and motivation of personnel in the waste management sector.
The ceremony attracted government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders in the environmental sanitation sector.
