Kicks Off First Flight with 410 Pilgrims to Medina
Borno State Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum ably represented by His Deputy Governor Hon. Usman Umar Kadafur alongside Amirul Hajj Barr Kaka Shehu Lawan gives a farewell message to Borno Pligrims on Behalf of Governor Borno State.


His Excellency on his speech advise them to be law abiding citizen and good ambassador for the State, and pray for safe and successful Hajj operations and performance.


The first batch of Borno pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj departed Maiduguri International Airport on Sunday, May 27th, at 2:20Am. The departing group comprised 234 males and 149 females.

On his part, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan 2024 Hajj Committee Chairman in Borno State attributed the successes recorded to the tireless efforts of His Excellency, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum for giving approvals to all matters related to Hajj operations.
Borno State Pilgrimage Board officials announced that screening for the second batch will begin Monday evening, with their departure scheduled for Tuesday morning.
