The youth empowerment campaign of Hon. Dr Richard Edosa, Member representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, gathered momentum on Tuesday as his team stormed Oredo Ward 7 to sensitise young people on the benefits of his Interest-Free Loan Scheme.
The scheme, launched at an inaugural meeting last week, is targeted at supporting young entrepreneurs and small business owners across Oredo West. Dr Edosa said the initiative underscored his commitment to grassroots development and sustainable empowerment.
In addition to the loan facility, Dr Edosa has partnered with Starz Legacy CNG to provide specialised empowerment training for youths in all six wards of the constituency. However, organisers stressed that slots for the CNG training are limited.
The lawmaker described the dual programmes as bold steps towards equipping young people with the skills and resources needed to achieve economic independence.
“This is about building a future where the youth of Oredo are not only empowered but also self-reliant,” he noted.
