Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has officially defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He revealed that his decision to join the ruling party was informed by his desire to foster a closer relationship between the South-East and the Central Government of President Bola Tinubu.

Ubah, who visited the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, in the company of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, expressed his appreciation to the party’s leadership for accepting him into its fold.

He also commended President Tinubu for appointing Dave Umahi as the Minister of Works, despite the party recording low votes in the South-East in the 2023 presidential election.
