Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho has suffered another injury blow after limping off in the Celtic Scottish League Cup final against St Mirren.
The Nigerian forward pulled up and felt the back of his leg while going for a ball near the touchline in the 35th minute. He attempted to run it off briefly and continued, but Celtic took no chances and substituted him immediately.
It’s another setback for Iheanacho, who had only just returned from a hamstring injury he sustained against Sturm Graz in a Europa League clash in October.
The 29-year-old played his first minutes in two months, coming on as a substitute in their Europa League game against Roma in midweek.
