…assures 100% delivery for party, candidates
The Ikpoba-Okha local government campaign council of the Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie candidacy has been officially inaugurated.
The inaugural meeting had amongst attendees, the State Director General, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, the Deputy Governorship Candidate for the September guber poll, Osarodion Ogie Esq., the PDP Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha, Mr. Friday Aiwumuagbonrie, his Deputy, Pst. Paul Osazuwa.
Also in attendance were the Commissioner for Housing, Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Development, Isoken-Omo, the Director General, Ikpoba-Okha Campaign Council, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, and a host of others.
Charging the Campaign Council to approach the poll with vigour and determination, the State Director General, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, who ran the campaign council members through a declaration, urged the Council to be ready to win.
Iduoriyekemwen went further to conduct the inauguration of the Council.
“I congratulate you for making the list of the Ikpoba-Okha campaign council, your enlistment is a true test of your determination and commitment to duty; you have served the PDP over the years, you have garnered significant experience, exposure and connection with your people at the grassroot, it is believed that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of your duty ahead September”, once again, “congratulations”, Iduoriyekemwen noted.
Speaking, the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate, Osarodion Ogie, noted that Ikpoba-Okha is known for excellence, having accumulated very high records of electoral victories in past elections.
” I am very pleased to be here with the campaign council, witnessing the inauguration of the council; Ikpoba-Okha is blessed with dedicated and committed men and women who put in their all in delivering their various areas; I urge you to continue to exhibit that can do spirit, which has earned you very brilliant result in recent polls; I expect that we will do greater this time.”
“I know you will do well, you have records of achievements, you have records of electoral victories, I am confident that you will replicate all the excellent results you have gathered over the years as the September poll fast-approaches”, Ogie added.
The Ikpoba-Okha campaign council consists of twenty seven (27) committes with fifty six (56) members drawn from the ten (10) Wards of the LGA.
Committees including youth mobilization, women mobilization, street-to-stree, islamic and christian bodies, media and publicly, autonomous, and several other committees are amongst the campaign council committees.
The inauguration of the Ikpoba-Okha campaign council of Monday May 20, 2024, had other attendees including, men, women, youths, religious bodies and other members of the Party.
The inaugural meeting which held at the PDP LGA Secretariat, Upper Sakponba Road, Benin City, had Ward Director Generals, Zonal Co-ordinators, Ward Chairmen, youth leaders and several other Party faithfuls.
In his remark, the Ikpoba-Okha Director General, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, appreciated the State Director General, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, the Deputy Governorship candidate, Osarodion Ogie, and other leaders for their support and solidarity with the Council.
“I am pleased to have the State Director General, our PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, and other leaders for their presence; your words has given us a major lift and we will be glad to continue to have your support as we go into the campaigns”.
“Be rest assured that we are set, ready, able and determined to deliver excellently; and as always, we will never disappoint you; we are committed to deliver the best result in the entire State; we are ready, and very ready for this great commission”, Ighiwiyisi assured.
The campaign council has said it will deliver 100% for the PDP and AiO².
