Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has launched a sharp public rebuttal against celebrity socialite Cubana Chiefpriest, questioning the source of his wealth and urging him to remain silent amid ongoing public scrutiny.
Fayose’s remarks followed comments attributed to Cubana Chiefpriest that sparked renewed debate on social media over affluence, accountability and public conduct. In a strongly worded response, Fayose suggested that in a country with strict financial oversight, the socialite would already be facing legal consequences.
“If we are in a normal country where they check wealth, you would be in jail by now,” Fayose said. “Hushpuppi did more than you. He is now in prison in the United States. We do not know the source of your wealth. Keep your mouth shut.”
The statement, delivered partly in pidgin English, quickly gained traction online, drawing widespread reactions and reigniting conversations around unexplained wealth and the culture of ostentatious display among public figures.
Cubana Chiefpriest, a prominent nightlife entrepreneur and social media personality, has built a large following through his flamboyant lifestyle and close associations with celebrities. However, questions surrounding the sources of wealth of high-profile figures have increasingly become a subject of public discourse, particularly following the conviction of Nigerian socialite Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, in the United States for fraud-related offences.
As of the time of filing this report, Cubana Chiefpriest had not issued a public response to Fayose’s comments.
