The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has expressed his gratitude to the Police, Civil Defense, Department of Security Services, and local hunters for their joint efforts in rescuing the thirty seven captives from bandits in his hometown Duguri, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
During his visit, Mohammed announced a donation of fifty motorcycles for surveillance, ten million naira to the local hunters, and two million naira to the districts. He also pledged to donate his salary and allowances as a form of appreciation for their gallantry.
Mohammed further expressed his thanks to Allah for facilitating the rescue of the captives and called on traditional rulers and leaders at all levels to avoid conspiracy, sabotage, and compromise. He promised to take strict measures against anyone found guilty of attempting to drive communities from their ancestral lands.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in the fight against terrorism and urged citizens to provide necessary information about unpleasant movement and activities of unwholesome elements intending to devastate peace, unity, and progress of Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole.
