Two suspected kidnappers (names withheld), who reportedly developed romantic feelings for their victims, have been arrested in Kaduna.
The suspects allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted two married women during their captivity.
In a bid to survive, the women reportedly pretended to reciprocate the kidnappers’ feelings, even claiming they were enjoying the encounters, which led to an exchange of phone numbers.
After their release, the women continued to communicate with the suspects. On Tuesday, they arranged a meeting under the guise of a romantic encounter.
Acting on prior information, police apprehended the two suspects at the meeting location.
