Popular Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has sparked controversy after publicly expressing regret over not participating in internet fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo Yahoo” in Nigeria.

The actor, known for his roles in several Nollywood films, made the startling admission during a recent conversation that has since gone viral on social media.

Afolayan candidly revealed that he has been aware of discussions around internet fraud for years but never considered getting involved. However, he now regrets not exploring the illegal activity, suggesting that legitimate hustles have left him feeling disillusioned.

“Legitimate hustle feels super useless,” Afolayan lamented, hinting at the frustration and struggles faced by those who pursue honest work in the country.
