Police in Libya have raided a suspected prostitution house operated by migrants, arresting 36 people, mainly Nigerians and Chadians.
Security officials said the raid followed intelligence reports about a residential building being used for illegal activities linked to human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The suspects, both men and women, were arrested in the operation and taken into custody for questioning.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the house served as a base where young migrant women were coerced into prostitution, while some men acted as coordinators and security guards for the illicit trade. Authorities also recovered items believed to have been used in the operations.
Police say the suspects are undergoing interrogation, and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle similar migrant-linked criminal networks across Libya.
