Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the ongoing marital crisis involving his actress wife, Regina Daniels, and members of her family, alleging a pattern of drug abuse, manipulation, and harassment within his household.
In a lengthy statement shared alongside video footage on social media, the lawmaker accused Regina’s brother, Sammy, and several of her associates of repeatedly invading his home in Abuja, harassing his children and domestic staff, and undermining his wife’s rehabilitation efforts.
“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko said. “His visits were often aggressive and disruptive.”
The Senator, who represents Delta North, claimed he had financially supported Regina’s family long before and after their marriage, including sponsoring Sammy through his final years at university, renting and furnishing a flat for him in Abuja, and transferring over ₦125 million to Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, in the past two years.
According to Nwoko, Regina was undergoing therapy after he discovered “troubling behavioural changes” linked to her alleged dependence on illegal substances. He said doctors had advised strict restrictions on her access to certain individuals described as “enablers,” but those warnings were consistently ignored.
“Sammy, Destiny, and some of their friends, including Sonia Uche and Montana, would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in,” he alleged. “They brought her the same drugs she was being treated for, completely frustrating the work of doctors and therapists.”
Nwoko further claimed that Regina’s brothers, Sammy and Lawrence, were the first to introduce her to drugs, and that their continued interference created tension and instability within the family.
He recounted several incidents of alleged misconduct, including Regina leaving home overnight, verbally abusing police officers stationed for her protection, and a confrontation involving Sammy and his girlfriend at his residence.
“Sammy once stormed my house, shouting and demanding that I come downstairs to face him because I asked his girlfriend to leave my compound,” he narrated. “The level of audacity was shocking. Without the influence of drugs, could he have been so bold and disrespectful?”
The Senator also denied claims circulating online that Regina was assaulted by his aides, insisting that the viral video was filmed “in front of my house, in my absence,” and described it as a “Nollywood scenario” orchestrated by her siblings.
Nwoko added that despite offering Sammy the chance to study abroad like his brother Lawrence, he declined and has since faced multiple arrests for alleged misconduct.
“What he needs now is total rehabilitation and professional guidance,” Nwoko stated. “Otherwise, his aggression and self-destructive tendencies will only worsen.”
The senator’s revelations have sparked widespread reactions online, deepening public interest in the troubled marriage between the billionaire politician and the Nollywood star.
