Information reaching our News desk, says that Former political office holders and some Chieftains of APC will Dump the Party in few days, if the crisis rocking the party in the LGA is not addressed
Some of the Stakeholders numbered over 2000 members threatened to resigned their membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Etsako Central Local Government of Edo State.
Some of the party chieftains who are founding members of the party in the Council Area said a faction of APC manipulated the just concluded party Primaries in the Local Government, Etsako Federal Constituency and Edo North at large.
They said, they are fully prepared to take a bold step and take their destiny in their hands by leaving the party.
The Press learnt that the Chieftains of the party had rebuffed all entreaties to reorganise the nomination and ensure the party victory come 2023 were frustrated.
The news on Saturday gathered that the massive defection, in a swift move to join the main opposition party PDP in 2023, will grossly affect APC in forthcoming election
They stated in part that: “in few days, we will cease to be member of APC in our Wards, LGA respectively.
“Though, the decision to part ways with the APC is a tough one, but leadership entails adherence to the wishes of the vast majority of the people, political associates, allies and supporters who have shown fidelity over time and have now witnessed the obduracy of the APC in handling the candidate selection processes from Edo North, Etsako Federal Constituency and Etsako Central LGA Edo State in particular, The group stated
