Popular media personality Solomon Buchi has stirred controversy by calling for the arrest of Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, the Founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries (CMDM).

In a strongly worded post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Buchi accused Prophet Fufeyin of deceiving Christians, alleging that he is not a true man of God but a sorcerer working with a familiar spirit.

Buchi did not mince words in his post on Wednesday, where he emphatically denied Fufeyin’s legitimacy as a Christian leader. “Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin is not a Christian, let alone a prophet. He isn’t a man of God. He is a sorcerer working with a familiar spirit. He should be called out, rebuked, and arrested,” Buchi wrote.

The media personality went on to criticize Fufeyin for allegedly tarnishing the reputation of the Christian faith. Buchi expressed his concern that such figures damage the perception of the church and provide ammunition for non-Christians to ridicule the faith. “We can’t have charlatans disgrace the precious name of Jesus this way and soil the perception of the church,” he added.

Buchi referenced the biblical story of Peter rebuking Simon the Sorcerer, comparing it to the situation with Fufeyin. “Peter rebuked Simon who was an amazing magician that swayed lots of people. Peter told him that his heart was not right before God. Jeremiah’s heart is not right before God,” Buchi stated.

The media personality also condemned Fufeyin’s alleged practices of selling “miracle soap” and “David’s stone” for business, marriage, and ministry, describing them as a modern rebranding of traditional spiritualism.
“Bragging about being a billionaire, threatening people, selling miracle soap and David’s stone for business, marriage, and ministry is just a fine rebrand of a local spiritualist. That man has no place in the church and God will judge him speedily,” Buchi declared.

As of now, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin has not publicly responded to the allegations.
