The Network for the Advancement of People with Visible Disability (NAPVID) has announced a strategic partnership with Senator Neda Imasuen, who represents the Edo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The collaboration, which was formally confirmed during a courtesy visit by NAPVID to the Senator, is focused on enhancing educational and economic opportunities for people with disabilities in the State. As part of the agreement, Senator Imasuen will provide scholarships to eligible beneficiaries of the NAPVID Education Fund, as well as support the inclusion of persons with disabilities in ongoing skill acquisition and empowerment programmes across the senatorial district.
This partnership reflects Senator Imasuen’s ongoing commitment to addressing the needs of marginalised communities within his constituency. During the meeting, he pledged his unwavering support to the Network’s cause and expressed his dedication to ensuring that people with disabilities are not left behind in the State’s development agenda.
“We are excited to work with Senator Neda Imasuen in advancing the social inclusion of persons with disabilities,” said a spokesperson for NAPVID. “His support will help us expand access to education and sustainable livelihood opportunities for those who are too often excluded from such initiatives.”
NAPVID, which advocates for the rights and welfare of people with visible disabilities, has long championed initiatives aimed at breaking down barriers to inclusion. The organisation believes that this partnership marks a significant step forward in bridging gaps and promoting equity in education and economic empowerment.
The Network extended its gratitude to the Senator, stating, “Thank you, Senator Neda Imasuen, for your commitment to inclusivity and empowering persons with disabilities in Edo State.”
The initiative is expected to roll out in the coming months, with NAPVID working closely with Senator Imasuen’s office to identify beneficiaries and coordinate implementation efforts that will drive meaningful change in the lives of people with disabilities in Edo South.
