The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has commiserated with the Government and people of Adamawa over the recent looting of warehouses in the state capital.
Therefore, the agency asked the government to relocate its Yola operations office and warehouses to safer locations in Adamawa State.
The Director General of the Agency, Mustapha Habib Ahmed revealed this during a courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola Tuesday.
The director general said the relocation became necessary following the reoccurring nature of attacks and the vulnerability of the present location.
The Director also condoled with people of Adamawa on the recent boat mishaps in the state.
Governor Umaru Fintiri represented by Chief of Staff Government House Yola Dr Edgar Amos Sunday lauded NEMA for addressing emergencies in the country.
