The Executive Chairman of Etsako West, Hon. Marvelous Muhizu Zibiri, in conjunction with the Agricultural department of Etsako West Local Government Council, has distributed irrigation pumping machines, Defeathering machines and mini grinding machines to beneficiaries across the entire local government area.
In his address, the Council Chairman, Hon. Marvelous said, “It is with great pleasure and joy that I welcome you all to this occasion of the distribution of FADAMA NG-CARES Agricultural assets to beneficiary farmers in Etsako west Local Government Area.
“FADAMA NG-CARES is an Agricultural programme put in place by the Federal Government of Nigeria but driven by State and Local Government to provides support to farmers with inputs and assets ranging from planting seeds, seedlings, fertilizer, animal feeds, Rice Milling Machines, Cassava Milling Machines, Defeathering Machines, Mini Grinding Machines & Irrigation water pumping Machines, some of which you can see displayed for presentation to practicing farmers and those into agro processing enterprises, toward improved Agricultural practices and better life for our rural dwellers.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are here today to witness the distribution of irrigation water pumping machines and adjourning hose, for dry season irrigation farming, aimed at ensuring all year farming to boast food sufficiency/security; also Defeathering Machines and Power generating sets to poultry farmers, to enhance processing of poultry products under better hygienic condition for consumers.
“It is worthy to note that some large scale processing equipments have been distributed to various locations in the Local Government Area, to foster Agricultural activities, and this includes;
Rice Milling Machine – Idegun Community, Rice Milling Machine -Ubiane Community, Rice Milling Machine – Egono Community, Defeathering Machine – Auchi Community, Cassava Milling Machine – Jagbe Community (To be delivered), Rice Milling Machine – Eware Community (to be delivered)
“I enjoin you all to put to good use this Agricultural Assets with prop maintenance culture.
“While I wish to use this medium to commend the federal and St Government for their concerted efforts at providing ventures that will ens food Security, especially in this era of teething challenges like curren devaluation, hike in fuel prices, and attendant high cost of living. I wish also commend you our farmers, for your persistence in Agricultural practi towards fighting hunger and starvation in our land.
“As a government that is committed to the welfare of our people, includ farmers & Agricultural processors, I wish to assure you all of our to commitment to the development of the Agricultural sector and also be living standard for our farmers.
