A significant number of Nigerians who were shortlisted as beneficiaries of the 2023 FGN/WEMA Bank Skillnovation programme have recently voiced their displeasure over their inability to access the learning portal.
They have taken to social media platforms to express their disappointment and frustration, urging the management of Wema bank, who are responsible for the coordination of the program, to take prompt action to resolve the issue.
According to the affected beneficiaries, they have spent numerous hours and data attempting to log into the portal to access the learning materials since the bank announced the commencement of the virtual learning programme on November 27th.
However, they have been unable to access the portal to date. The Skillnovation program is designed to equip selected individuals with relevant skills and knowledge to enhance their employability and contribution to the economy.
Therefore, the inability of the beneficiaries to access the portal is hindering their capacity to benefit from the program.

One of the beneficiaries identified as Divine Praise wrote: “Wema bank said the training courses are access daily and it has started since, but uptill date the site is not accessible!
“I think it’s a deliberate action to frustrating participants”
@Umar Imam
“Dear Wema Bank Plc,
“I want to bring to your attention that I’ve diligently followed the provided guidelines without success. The portal appears to be working for some, but not for everyone. This issue has persisted for three days, impacting my ability to complete the daily assigned courses. I’ve attempted access on Android devices, iOS devices, and a PC, all with no success. This situation is disheartening, and I urge you to address it promptly and with consideration for all participants. It’s crucial that every entrepreneur, who, through hard work and luck, gained this opportunity, isn’t hindered from learning, growing, and expanding their business due to website issues.
“As a patriotic Nigerian, I implore you to rectify this disparity in your website accessibility. It’s unfair for some to navigate the site effortlessly while others face ongoing challenges. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to investigate and resolve it promptly.”
