The Seme Customs Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved an impressive 97% of its year 2023 target as of August, generating N1.9billion in revenue.
This marks a significant increase from the corresponding period in 2022, with the revenue profile witnessing a tremendous increase of N1.02billion.
The Customs Area Controller attributed this feat to the leadership’s painstaking efforts in partnership with stakeholders to ensure compliance with its revenue generation agenda.
Notable seizures during the period included fake US dollars, foreign parboiled rice, and petroleum products, as well as illicit drugs such as Cannabis Sativa and Tramadol.
The officers and men involved in these seizures have been commended, and the Seme Badagry Community and media have been thanked for their cooperation and highlighting the command’s efforts.
