Nigeria’s Finance Minister, Wale Edun Meets Senator Imasuen, Seeks Collaboration

The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, on Thursday, paid a courtesy visit to Senator Neda Imasuen, who represents Edo South Senatorial District, at his legislative office in Abuja.

The visit formed part of the Minister’s ongoing consultations with key lawmakers to strengthen collaboration between the Executive and the Legislature in driving Nigeria’s economic recovery, fiscal stability, and sustainable growth.

Also in attendance was Senator Joseph Ikpea, representing Edo Central Senatorial District, who joined in the high-level discussions centred on fiscal reforms, federal allocation priorities, and measures to attract both public and private investment into Edo State.

Senator Imasuen commended the Minister for his proactive approach to economic management, noting that such engagements would promote transparency, fiscal discipline, and inclusive growth.

He further revealed that the discussions touched on repositioning existing federal institutions in Edo State and establishing new ones, assuring that Edo South would soon witness remarkable educational and infrastructural reforms as part of broader efforts to empower citizens and strengthen the State’s economy.

The meeting underscored the growing synergy between federal policymakers and legislators in tackling economic challenges and creating opportunities for development across Nigeria.
