In a move aimed at strengthening administrative structures in Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has appointed Prince Tijani Ugbodaga as the new Chairman of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission.
This announcement was made through a statement by the Special Adviser on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie.
Prince Ugbodaga’s appointment follows the departure of Chief Tom Uloko from the position. Osagie confirmed that the change takes immediate effect, marking a transition in leadership within the commission responsible for overseeing local government affairs in the state.
In his statement, Osagie conveyed the government’s appreciation to Chief Uloko for his dedicated service to Edo State. He also extended well wishes to Uloko in his future endeavors, acknowledging his contributions during his tenure as Chairman.
The swearing-in ceremony for Prince Tijani Ugbodaga is scheduled to take place at a later date, which will be announced soon. This event will formally mark the commencement of his responsibilities as the head of the Local Government Service Commission.
Prince Ugbodaga’s background and experience are expected to contribute significantly to the commission’s objectives under his leadership.
