The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Edo North recently paid a courtesy visit to the Uzairue Command of the Edo State Security Corps, where they extended congratulations and praise to the Commandant, Mr Yusuf Agbobuare, for his dedication to enhancing the security of the Uzairue Kingdom.
During the visit, Comrade Anokehi Shaka, Coordinator of OPC Edo North, expressed their support for the newly-appointed commandant, stating that the visit aimed to acknowledge Mr Agbobuare’s proactive approach to securing the region. He also highlighted the OPC Edo North’s commitment to partnering with the Uzairue Command for a safer and more secure community.
“The efforts of Mr Agbobuare in safeguarding the kingdom are commendable, and we are here today to show our solidarity with him,” said Comrade Shaka. He went on to reassure the Commandant of OPC’s support in achieving greater security and cooperation within the region.
In response, Commandant Agbobuare thanked the OPC delegation for their visit and commended the initiative to strengthen ties between the two organisations. He remarked that the collaboration would significantly bolster the security framework in the region, and he expressed optimism that the combined efforts of the Edo North OPC and Uzairue Command would lead to even greater success.
The OPC is a Yoruba nationalist group dedicated to advancing the welfare of the Yoruba people and preserving their cultural heritage. In addition to its advocacy for Yoruba rights, the group is actively involved in community development and security initiatives.
