As parts of efforts to sanitize the activities of commercial motorcycle operators in Osun, the State government has launched Jackets and Identity cards for Okada and Tricycle riders in the State.

According to governor Gboyega Oyetola the effort is to curtail the activities of hoodlums who perpetuate evil under the guise of being commercial motorcyclist.

The governor said: “It’s unfortunate and disturbing that some hoodlums and undesirable elements have, over the years, taken advantage of the unregulated nature of activities of commercial motorcyclists to engage in unwholesome activities such as robbery, kidnapping and pickpocketing.
