A simmering feud between controversial singer Portable and social media personality Saidaboj has erupted into a full-blown online spectacle, after a leaked voice note revealed a bitter dispute over the cost of a music collaboration.
The drama began after Saidaboj was alleged to have privately approached Portable to request a verse for an upcoming project, despite previously dismissing his talent in public. According to accounts circulating online, Portable reportedly billed her N10 million for the feature, later agreeing to reduce the fee to N8 million following negotiations.
Saidaboj, however, was said to have pushed back, insisting that she was a “star” and that the collaboration should be viewed as two stars working together rather than a paid favour. The disagreement escalated when Portable shared a voice note of Saidaboj negotiating the fee on TikTok, a move that quickly drew public attention.
Angered by the post, Saidaboj reportedly responded with her own voice note, accusing Portable of acting immaturely and insulting him while claiming that his attitude would prevent him from having genuine friends. She allegedly added that she had only intended to pay N1 million for the verse.
Portable fired back with a barrage of voice notes, challenging her claims and questioning her financial standing. In his response, he reportedly mocked Saidaboj’s inability to meet his asking price, accused her of living a fake lifestyle, and insisted that he was not the type of celebrity who would accept favours in place of payment.
The singer also dismissed Saidaboj’s claim to stardom, stating that he harboured no grudges but never forgot past slights. He further declared that his prayer was for those who doubted him to one day seek his help, so he could remind them of their earlier comments.
The public exchange has since gone viral, with Saidaboj trending across social media platforms amid accusations that she is financially unstable and misrepresenting her lifestyle. Critics have also resurfaced her past statements about expecting extravagant gifts from admirers, fuelling further debate.
