In a video message on Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a passionate plea to all Nigerians, urging them to exercise patience as his administration works towards achieving economic prosperity for the nation.
Tinubu acknowledged the current tough period and assured citizens that despite the temporary hardships, his administration’s plans for the country’s progress are well underway.
Speaking about the impact of subsidy removal and the subsequent lag in the implementation of their plans, Tinubu recognized the challenges but expressed confidence in closing the time gap swiftly. He emphasized that the government is committed to delivering on its promises and is working tirelessly to improve the nation’s economic outlook.
Tinubu urged citizens to have faith in the administration’s ability to navigate through the current turbulence and assured them that Nigeria will emerge better equipped to seize opportunities and thrive due to the measures being taken.
“All our good and helpful plans are in the works. More importantly, I know that they will work.
“Sadly, there was an unavoidable lag between subsidy removal and these plans coming fully online.
“However, we are swiftly closing the time gap.
“I plead with you, please, have faith on our ability to deliver and in our concern for your wellbeing. We will get out of this turbulence. And due to the measures we have taken, Nigeria will be better equipped and able to take advantage. ”
