Very Sad in Enugu Community as Police Confirm Eleven Dead After Tree Falls On Bus, Minivan During Heavy Rain
At least eleven people died when a large tree fell on two commercial vehicles at Awhum Village Market Square in Enugu State. Police spokesperson Daniel Ndukwe confirmed that heavy rainfall, strong winds, and internal decay caused the tree to collapse as the vehicles stopped to drop off passengers.
Four survivors are receiving medical care, and authorities urged communities to inspect ageing trees to prevent similar tragedies.
