Dubai, UAE – The 11th edition of the prestigious Light Middle East Awards took place on 16 January at the Ritz Carlton DIFC, celebrating excellence in lighting design and technology.
The event, which coincided with the conclusion of the record-breaking Light + Intelligent Building Middle East exhibition, brought together industry leaders from across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond to recognise exceptional lighting projects and products.
The awards ceremony highlighted the outstanding achievements of 18 winners selected from a total of 183 entries, with categories spanning Project of the Year, Product of the Year, and Partner of the Year.

Among the standout winners of the night were two international projects that shared the coveted Project of the Year – International Award. Light-to-Light received the honour for their work on the “Dawn and Dusk” lighting concept in Estonia, while Loomit SRLS was recognised for transforming Antwerpen Central Station in Belgium.
The Project of the Year – MEA (Middle East & Africa) category saw 10 regional projects honoured for their innovation and impact. Notably, Light Touch PLD secured two accolades, including the ultimate Light Middle East Project of the Year for their stunning lighting design at the Six Senses Southern Dune resort in Saudi Arabia.
Other major recognitions included Speirs Major Light Architecture’s Heritage Lighting Project of the Year for their work at At-Turaif in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, and LIGHTALLIANCE’s Sustainability Lighting Project of the Year for the Misk Schools Campus, also in Saudi Arabia. Nulty triumphed with the Retail Lighting Project of the Year for Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, while DPA Lighting Consultants were awarded Leisure Lighting Project of the Year for their design at One&Only One Za’abeel in Dubai.
In the restaurant sector, two Dubai-based establishments, OPSO Dubai and CARO Steakhouse Frenzy, earned the Restaurant Lighting Project of the Year awards. The Workplace Lighting Project of the Year was awarded to Studio Lumen for their design at Pinnacle Offices, while Delta Theta Lighting Consultants claimed the Residential Lighting Project of the Year for Casa Amal, Dubai.
The awards also recognised leading lighting products, with iGuzzini Middle East securing two wins: Indoor Lighting Product of the Year for the Filorail system and Outdoor Lighting Product of the Year for Trick em.
Other product winners included Arkoslight SL’s Loop, which took home the Decorative Lighting Product of the Year, and EWO SRL’s Chameleon, which won Intelligent Lighting Solution of the Year.
The Peer Award, determined by public voting, went to Linea Light for their XENIA_AF_BLADE lighting solution, further underlining the popularity of innovative lighting technologies in the region.
The Partner of the Year award, which acknowledges exceptional manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors in the MEA region, was presented to LEDFlex Group for their contribution to successful lighting projects and collaborations across the region.
This year’s Light + Intelligent Building Middle East exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, set a new record with over 440 exhibitors from 34 countries. The event also featured more than 150 speakers at the Smart Building Summit THINKLIGHT and InSpotLight, reinforcing its status as a key event for the lighting and intelligent building sectors.
