Member, House of Representatives, representing Etsako Federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Johnson Oghuma and some other dignitaries have received The Nigerian Observer NUJ’s Media Merit award in recognition of their selfless services to humanity.
Hon Oghumha who was represented at the occasion by Emmanuel Oshiogbhele along with Justice Eragbe
Oshiogbele commended the chapel for the honour done Hon Oghumha, describing the federal lawmaker as a man of the people.
He said that Hon. Oghuma as a former member of Edo State House of Assembly and now member of House of Representatives has used his political wealth of experience to impact positively on the people of his constituency.
“As House of Representatives member, Hon Oghuma has performed creditably welll in terms of representation, initiation of bills, massive empowerment and infrastructural development across the three local government areas of the federal constituency ”
He however thanked the organizer of the Observer NUJ annual forum for finding Rt. Hon. Johnson Oghuma worthy of the award saying that the award would spur him to do better in his service delivery efforts to his people.
Meanwhile, Hon. Oghuma is the chairman House of Representatives Committee on Environment. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Master of Science degree in the same field.
Rt. Hon. Oghuma in the past received several awards such as Economist Achiever Merit Award; Award of Excellent Leadership among others and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Economists.
Other awardees of the Observer NUJ merit awards were Osaigbovo Iyoha, Chief of Staff to Gov. Godwin Obaseki, Best Mbere of the ITV among others.
