Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Neda Imasuen, has felicitated with the Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Barrister Bisi Idaomi, on the occasion of her 55th birthday.
In a statement issued on Monday, Senator Imasuen commended the Commissioner for her dogged efforts and remarkable achievements in addressing gender-based issues, particularly those affecting widows and the girl child in Edo State.
He described Idaomi as “a tireless advocate for women’s rights and social justice whose resilience, compassion and commitment have brought hope to the vulnerable and empowerment to the defenceless.”
The Senator further prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and wisdom for the celebrant, while urging her to sustain her impactful service to humanity.

Barrister Idaomi, a seasoned lawyer and women’s rights advocate, has been at the forefront of state-led campaigns against gender-based violence and harmful practices. As Commissioner, she has initiated programmes to support widows, promote girl-child education and strengthen social welfare structures across Edo State, earning recognition as one of the leading voices for vulnerable groups in the State.
