Teenager Arrested for Stabbing Lover to Death in Benin Hotel

A tragic incident in Benin has led to the arrest of an 18-year-old, Kingsley Paul, who has been charged with the murder of his 38-year-old lover.

The crime occurred at a hotel in the Ekehuan Barracks area of Edo State.

According to the Edo State Police Command, Paul was paraded alongside other suspects involved in various criminal activities, including murder and kidnapping.

Police Public Relations Officer Moses Joel Yamu detailed the gruesome events that led to the arrest.

Paul, who had taken his lover to the hotel, confessed to stabbing her to death despite there being no apparent quarrel between them.

The suspect revealed that the pair had agreed on a fee of N2, 000 which he had already paid. At the time of the attack, the victim had disrobed, and Paul used a knife to fatally wound her.

The police have indicated that Paul will face charges in court once investigations are concluded. The motive behind the murder remains under scrutiny, as authorities piece together the details of the tragic incident.
