The Asue Ighodalo Team: Leading Edo State to Progress and Development

The Director General of Edo People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Campaign Council, Mr. Mathew Iduoriyekemwem on Thursady said that, the governorship candidate of the party, Asue Ighodalo will bring the needed development the Edo people are yearning for.
Iduoriyekemwem, who made this diclosure while addressing journalists in Benin at the Edo State Council Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) described those people who defected from the party as disgruntled elements nothing that, their defection would have no negative impact on the party’s chances of winning the election come September, 2024.
He said: “Most of the people moving out of the PDP are disgruntled. They feel they must have it all. I don’t know who gave them that kind of entitlement, that PDP is theirs, and it must be theirs. When they need anything in PDP and they don’t get it, nobody gets it and the roof must be brought down.”
According to him, the people in the party now are loyalists who the party hold in high esteem for their support and loyalty.
“I can tell you that the people we have in PDP are those that are an asset to the party. Those that are assets to the party, we do not allow them to leave.
“Those that we are bringing into the party are those that will add value to the party. You will start seeing them very soon. What we need in Edo is not just anybody. We want people that have value, people that have something to offer. As people are moving from the PDP to the APC, people are also moving from the APC to the PDP.”
He denied any intention to leave the party, emphasizing his strong belief in the Asue Ighodalo Team’s ability to lead Edo State to further progress and development. He urged the people of Edo to carefully consider the background and track record of the PDP candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, highlighting the advantages of having him at the helm of the state’s affairs after Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
Mr. Iduoriyekemwem also expressed the party’s commitment to an issue-based campaign and emphasized their focus on promoting their candidate’s vision for the State.
