President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Lagos following the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, with Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, personally seeing him off and pledging continued support for the president’s reform agenda.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a post shared on his official social media handle, said: “I accompanied His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he departed Lagos.”
The governor used the occasion to reiterate his administration’s alignment with the president’s efforts to reposition the country. “Lagos stands ready to play its part in building the Nigeria we all hope for,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu’s presence at the president’s departure underscores Lagos State’s central role in national development, political stability, and the implementation of federal initiatives.
President Tinubu had been in Lagos for the Sallah holiday, during which he received several high-profile visitors and well-wishers at his Ikoyi residence.
