President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered an all-out security offensive to track down and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack in Kasuwan Daji, declaring that those behind the violence will be brought swiftly to justice without exception.
In a strongly worded directive, the President said he had instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to hunt down the perpetrators and dismantle their networks.
“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people,” Tinubu said. “They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down.”
The President warned that the crackdown would extend beyond the gunmen who carried out the attack to include anyone found to have aided, abetted or enabled them. According to him, such collaborators would also be made to face the law.
As part of the immediate security response, Tinubu directed that all abducted victims be urgently rescued, while security operations around vulnerable communities—particularly those located near forests—be significantly intensified to prevent further attacks.
Describing the moment as a test of national unity, the President urged Nigerians to stand together against violent extremism, stressing that collective resolve was essential to defeating terrorism and restoring peace.
“These times demand our humanity,” he said. “We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison. United, we can and must defeat them and deny them any sanctuary. We must reclaim peace for these attacked communities.”
The President also expressed condolences to families affected by the attack, offering prayers for those who lost their lives. “May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he said.
The Kasuwan Daji attack has heightened concerns over insecurity in vulnerable communities, with the latest presidential directives signalling a renewed push for decisive action by Nigeria’s security agencies.
