Traditional Chiefs pay homage to Akirun elect

The traditional chiefs of Akinrun-in-council yesterday paid a royal visit to the Akinrun of Ikirun elect, Prince Yunus Olalekan Akadiri.

The chiefs led by Odoofin, Chief Oloruntogun Abdul Rasheed Diekola, and Elemo-Aga, Chief Bamidele Onifade, followed by Ojomu Chief Atoyebi, Oluawo Onifa, Oluawo Onisegun, Jagun, Aaro, Obale, Odoka, Sobaloju, Bales Eweta, Baale Oke Afo, Baale Ifelodun, Baale laade, Baale ibijuwon, oja agbaye, and other dignitaries.

During the visit, the chiefs offered prayers for the new king, prayed for a good and prosperous tenure for the monarch.

The chiefs send goodwill messages from their various jurisdiction, says the people of Ikirun and chiefs in council would always support the new king for him to succeed on the thrones of his fore fathers.

In his response, Oba Elect, Olalekan Akadiri commended the chiefs and dignitaries for their visit and the entire community for their kind gesture.

While describing them as truthful and faithful people, the new monarch assured them that he was ready to work with them to move the town forward
