The death has occured of a communication expert and media consultant, Dr. John Edemode.
He died at the early hours of Thursday, August 9th, 2021.
Friends and sympathisers have described the deceased as a very kind gentle man and a mentor to many during his days as a lecturer at Auchi Poly.
A sympathizer, Momodu Azzez wrote on Facebook:
“Dr. John Edemode was a father. Who lived exemplary life said one of the sympatisers on Facebook. He continued: “It is indeed a life of vanity.
Rest in peace my able Lecturer.”
Another sympathizer wrote:

“Aside being my Communication Theories and Seminar lecturer, Dr. John Oyarebu Edemode of Afashio-Uzairue was kind to me during my undergrad years and even after.

Until his death, Dr. John Edmode was the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Afashio Uzairue, and President of ANSAR – UD – DEEN/MOMODU COLLEGE OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (AMCOSA), Agbede in Etsako West Local Government of Edo State. He was an exactitude of a humanist, teacher, a writer, a Journalist, PR Consultant, philanthropist and entrenched loyalist to God’s word as a Catholic faithful whose destiny has decorated as the AMIR (PRESIDENT) of ANSARU – UD – DEEN COLLEGE / MOMODU COLLEGE AGBEDE, EDO STATE.
He hails from Afashio community in Etsako West local government.
