The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to issue visas to Nigerian passport holders, effective immediately.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, following a meeting of the Federal Executive Council on Monday.
According to the agreement, Nigerian citizens intending to travel to the UAE will now be able to obtain visas, paving the way for increased travel and diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Further details of the agreement are expected to be released in due course, but this development is seen as a major breakthrough in relations between Nigeria and the UAE.
This news is expected to be welcomed by many Nigerians who have been affected by the previous visa restrictions, including business travelers, tourists, and students.
The move is also seen as a positive step in strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
