The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has suspended a lecturer, Chigozie Odum, following allegations that he impregnated four students of the institution.
In an official letter of interdiction, signed by Deputy Registrar Achiuwa F. C. on behalf of the University Registrar, Odum was directed to step aside from his duties while an investigation is carried out.
The university further stated that the lecturer would receive only half of his salary for the duration of the probe. However, the institution did not disclose further details regarding the allegations or the identities of the students involved.
The suspension is part of the university’s commitment to upholding ethical standards within its academic environment.
