The Super Falcons of Nigeria are through to the Last-16 at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand.

Super Falcons who played a goaless draw with already eliminated Republic of Ireland.

Nigeria had slow start as the Irish dominated possession in the first half of the match.

Asisat Oshoala who ought to have put Nigeria ahead in the first half but fired her effort wide.

Uchenna Kanu nodded her second half effort against the bar.

Nigeria will now face the winner of group D on August 7 in Brisbane

Speaking to journalists at the end of the match, Super falcon head coach Randy Waldrum said:
