World Teachers’ Day: Edo Assembly Deputy Chief Whip, Dr Edosa Richard, Lauds Teachers as “True Nation Builders”

The Deputy Chief Whip of the Edo State House of Assembly and Member representing Oredo West Constituency, Hon. Dr Edosa Osaro Richard, has paid glowing tribute to teachers across Nigeria, describing them as “the true nation builders and unsung heroes of our collective future.”

In a statement issued by his Media Team to commemorate this year’s World Teachers’ Day, Dr Edosa commended the resilience, patience, and unwavering dedication of teachers who, despite daunting challenges, continue to nurture young minds and drive national transformation.

“We join the world in celebrating the true nation builders — our teachers — whose tireless sacrifice, patience and dedication continue to shape the destiny of our children and the future of our great nation,” he said.

Dr Edosa described classrooms across Oredo West and the country as “seedbeds of transformation,” stressing that at the heart of every transformation stands the teacher — “a guide, a mentor, a light that never dims.”

He added that the impact of teachers goes beyond lessons and grades, noting that they “ignite dreams, nurture purpose, and inspire greatness in every young mind they touch.”

“As we mark this year’s Teachers’ Day, we salute your courage, resilience, and commitment to excellence despite the odds. You are heroes of silent victories, and your legacy will forever be written in the hearts of generations to come,” he affirmed.
