Prophet Ojo Agge has been chosen as the new leader of the All Progressives Congress in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
This decision was taken unanimously by party leaders during an enlarged meeting held at the party secretariat in Sabongidda Ora. The aim of this meeting was to choose a leader to stabilize the party ahead of the next election in the State, at the instance of the overall leader and Leader of the House of Representatives, Prof Julius Ihonvbere, and a former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rev. Peter Obadan.
Prophet Ojo Agge, who was a one-time House of Assembly candidate, stated that he will do his utmost to work towards the unity of the party and ensure that he does not betray the confidence reposed in him by the people. He will be standing in for the two leaders and will always report to them about the development of the party in the area.
The Local Government Chairman of the party, Mr Frank David, along with two former Local Government Chairmen of the Local Government, Daniel Asekhamen and Reginald Okun, alongside other leaders, expressed their confidence in the choice of Prophet Ojo Agge to stabilize the party ahead of the next election in the state.
