The much-anticipated 2024 UTME exam results have been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), out of the 1,989,668 candidates who registered, 1,904,189 attended the exam.
The results of 1,842,464 candidates have been released, while 64,624 candidates are currently under investigation for examination misconduct.
During a press conference held by the Registrar of the Board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede on Monday, the results were announced, bringing both relief and anxiety to candidates and their families across the country. The release of the results has been long-awaited, with candidates eagerly anticipating their scores to determine their eligibility for admission into tertiary institutions.
Amidst the excitement of the release of the results, the Board also announced that 64,624 results are currently under investigation for examination malpractices. The Board has a zero-tolerance policy for exam misconducts, and it is committed to ensuring that the integrity of the exam is upheld. Those found guilty of exam malpractice will face appropriate sanctions.
With the release of the results, candidates can now check their scores on the JAMB portal using their registration numbers. This year’s UTME exam was conducted in over 700 computer-based test centers across the country, with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
The JAMB Registrar advised candidates who have checked their results to print a copy of their result slips, which contain their scores, personal details, and other relevant information. Candidates are also advised to seek clarification from the Board should they have any issues or questions regarding their results.
