Alhaji Hon. Abba Anas Adamu Laushi, a governorship aspirant under the ADC in Jigawa State, has been kidnapped and killed by bandits along the Kaduna–Abuja highway.
He was abducted last Friday alongside another who later escaped. The kidnappers demanded ₦75 million, which was reportedly paid, but Laushi was still killed.
Late Laushi was a former member of the House of Representatives (2007–2011), representing Birniwa, Guri, and Kirikasamma Federal Constituency.
His remains are being conveyed to Kano for burial.
