President Bola Tinubu has promised Nigerians prosperity if re-elected in 2027, insisting that his administration’s policies will deliver better days ahead.
Tinubu made the declaration at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off, where he urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to support his bid for a second term.
“To you, the children of our country, this is a promise of a second term: prosperity. You will not regret voting,” the President declared.
Dismissing criticism of his administration, Tinubu argued that the opposition lacked credible alternatives to his government’s policies.
“This is not a matter of hunger; this is not a matter of anger either. Our opponents are angry because they are failures. They have nothing to offer you,” he said.
The President’s remarks come amid ongoing political debate over his administration’s economic policies and their impact on Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
