No matter how good you are sir, a time comes when your goodness can no longer keep a man under you that God is calling to do something else.
Always remember that God is the owner of all men. He can choose to call anyone. In the days of Jesus, other people were doing ministry else lwhere. Jesus did not go to stop them or fight them. Even when his disciples came to say we saw some people using your name to cast out demons and they are not in our group. He rebuked and corrected them. He said to them, ‘he that is not against us is for us’.
So people must go and do something different as commanded by God. If they don’t GO, others will not GROW. The system was working before they came and it will still be working after they leave.
NOW THE QUESTION IS 7 WAYS TO RELEASE A GOOD SON OR A GOOD FOLLOWER.
Remember this man has followed very well. By your assessment and that of every other watchers and observers of kingdom events. So it is for your own good you treat him well.
1. PUBLICLY TELL EVERYONE THAT GOD HAS PROMOTED YOUR SON TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF HIS LIFE AND MINISTRY. What you say matters alot. How you say it also matters. The expression on your face matters a lot.
2. ENSURE YOU HELP HIM TO START IN THE CITY OR NATION HE WANTS TO GO AND START. AS LONG AS HE IS NOT STARTING IN THE NEXT STREET TO YOUR CHURCH. Some times it is advisable they go to a different city or a different location within the same city.
3. ENSURE YOU GIVE HIM FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND ALL HIS ENTITLEMENT AND EMOLUMENTS. Remember this person served well. You are using him to make a point that loyalty pays.
4. ENSURE YOU ARE THE ONE THAT MINISTERS IN THE OPENING SERVICE/INAUGURATION SERVICE. OR YOU SEND A GOOD REPRESENTATIVE THERE. This is an open endorsement for the assignment. It also shows goodwill.
5. GIVE HIM THE GIFT OF A CAR, A HOUSE, A LIFE TIME SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIS KIDS OR THE PAYMENT OF HIS NEW PLACE OF WORSHIP. When people leave everything to follow you, never forget the principle is still the same. They are to reap it in this world and in the world to come. You are not the REWARDER but you can be the ENCOURAGER. You are using this to make a strong point that loyalty pays. There are some men in Nigeria we can learn from on how to release Pastors who served very well.
6. PERIODICALLY YOU WILL GO TO THAT CITY TO ENCOURAGE HIM AND NOT TO FIGHT HIS WORK: Some fathers are very funny. So because a PASTOR left your church to start a church in a different city. You are now going to that city twice a month to run a program for people not to follow him. You are carnal and not spiritual. You are a mafia and not a minister. Mafiarism is not Evangelism. You are building empire not the work of God. That is the mindset of empire builders not kingdom builders. EMPIRE WILL EXPIRE NO MATTER WHO IS THE UMPIRE. Even the people know you don’t love them, it is their money you love. Why the emergency love? To make a son that served you with his youthful age fail in his old age. Wickedness in the highest order. Please Repent sir.
7. ALSO EXTEND A HAND OF FELLOWSHIP TO HIM BY BRINGING HIM TO YOUR PULPIT TO MINISTER OCCASIONALLY. MOST ESPECIALLY IN THE GATHERING OF SONS OF THE PROPHET: How you treat a once loyal son, will encourage loyalty or rebellion. The choice is yours. Never give Rebels REASON to continue in their Rebellion and don’t also give loyal men reason to doubt the blessedness of loyalty.
ADVICE TO YOU THE SON THAT HAS SERVED WELL:
DON’T WAIT FOR THE MAN YOU SERVE TO REWARD YOU. GOD IS THE REWARDER OF THEM THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM. YOU MAY NOT REAP WHERE YOU SOW BUT YOU MUST REAP WHAT YOU SOW. YOU MAY SOW IT IN YOUR FORMER MINISTRY AND REAP IT IN YOUR NEW MINISTRY.
