The leadership crisis in the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a new turn as the party has alleged that the newly inaugurated chairman of the caretaker committee, Chief Tony Okocha, is not a member of the APC.
The party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Dalington Nwauju, made this known during an interview on Channels TV’s program.
According to him, Okocha worked against the APC in Rivers State during the last election and left the party to join forces with Magnus Abe against the party.
Nwauju questioned the legality of the action of the National Working Committee of the party led by Abdullahi Ganduje, in inaugurating the caretaker committee.
