The Rivers State House of Assembly on Tuesday, confirmed five commissioner nominees presented by the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
The nominees were screened and subsequently confirmed during a session held at the Hallowed Chambers of the Assembly within the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Oko-Jumbo, initiated the process by reading the governor’s correspondence requesting the screening of the nominees. After thorough deliberations and evaluations, the Assembly confirmed the nominees as members of the Rivers State Executive Council.
The confirmed commissioners are Mr. Ilamu Arugu, Dr. Roland Obed White, Hon. Dr. Samuel Anya, Hon. Samuel Eyiba, and Sir Austin Nnadozie.
Their appointments mark a significant step in the continued development and governance of Rivers State, as they join the executive team tasked with driving the administration’s policies and initiatives.
